this was absolutely absurd, but if you divorce the movie from history it really stands up well on it's own and was a ton of fun.

Little John was especially great.

The history in this movie was no more or less absurd than the history in Gladiator.

Kevin Costner's Robin Hood was probably the best one I've ever seen. As much as I like Russel Crowe, this one I will pass

It was good, but Kevin's English accent was painful to listen to. I couldn't take him seriously enough to enjoy the movie everytime he had a line.

No idea why we would need another Robin Hood movie to begin with. I was never really that interested in the story and what new stuff can be done with it to make it interesting? I may have been interested if they went the way of the original script with Robin Hood depicted as more of a villian, but rehashing the same story again is a waste of time.

Same reason I have no interest in the 2 Three Musketeers movies in development.

This ISN'T another RH movie, though. It's WAY more about his becoming RH, than actually being RH - which is unlike the previous films. Again, I'm not saying it's a great movie, but I think people like the OP are heavily overreacting.
