Robotech Battlecry for Xbox: $19.99 @ CC

Stole this from myself at FW. =)

Did a search and didnt see this posted, so I figured I would.

I was in my local CC today buying Halo (just got my XBox a few days ago), and I noticed that Robotech was on sale from $49.99 to $19.99. I checked later and it's in the circular this week, but I thought I should mention it anyways since the lowest price I've seen it for is at least $5.00 higher.

Dunno how good the game is but I just thought it was worth mentioning for any that are interested. =)

It wouldn't necessarily say it sucks big-time, especially not at this price.

Don't forget to PM at BB...forgo the extra 10% PM and use a $5 off from a Gamer's Gift card...would make Robotech $14.99 before tax.

I agree. The cel shading was very well done. Some of the space battle scenes were very cool. Looked just like the cartoon from my youth. There were quite a few missions that were much more difficult than they had to be, and the gameplay did suffer as a result. I thought too much of the action had to be fought at a distance, so you never really got to appreciate the animation as much. The cities were neat, but I thought they could have used some polishing on the buildings. They didn't look like they got quite the same level of attention as some of the other images in the game. Also would have been neat to have animation cutscenes instead of the static pictures with voiceovers.

Damnit....you had to go and bring that up....gonna add another XBox game to the list that will be unopened for some time. Macross Saga started it all....including my interest in Battletech (the "lost mechs" are all Robotech based).

Compared to the SP missions in MechAssault, especially.
In MA, the difficulty level ramps up as you progress, and helps carry you through the game as you progress from light Mechs to heavy Mechs.

I love Macross, but hate Robotech, what a stupid name. I'm looking for the Japanese version using the original name.

Man, these recent price drop on XBox games are killing me!!! I still got a few shrinkwrapped that I haven't touched yet!!!

Tell me about it...I already bought 8 games for my XBox (got it less than a week ago), and so far I've only opened MGS2 and DOA3....the rest are all still shrinkwrapped! I picked up NFL 2K3 today for $20 too...
