Obviously huge YMMV. I don't even think there's many K-marts around in the first place, let alone many that still have RB1 sets.

rock band sets were still like 130 bucks at the K-mart in tucson
Thsi OP was talking about the drum kit only.
I picked up the Wired Drum Kit (Original Rock Band, not the newer kits) for the Xbox 360 at WalMart today for $9.96. It wasn't even marked with a clearance sticker.
Just to note, this is the version with a USB connector, kick drum pedal, and four pads. If you want to play Rock Band 2, or the newer Guitar Hero games, I believe you'll need to more complex set with the high-hat/cymbal pads.

Rock Band 2 works just fine with Rock Band 1 drum set. They designed it so you wouldn't have to keep buying a bunch of fake plastic instruments every time you bought a new game, which tends to piss people off.
Wrong about RB2. It's exactly the same as RB1 gameplay wise, only you have the OPTION of buying cymbals for it, and they're just extra yellow and blue pads. It's still just 4 colors and the bass pedal.
Cool then... it's a hell of a deal, then. Anybody know if it works in Guitar Hero World Tour?
