Rocketfish Full Tower Case (similar to LianLi PC-A71B)

Went scavenging for various BB clearance stuff and stumbled upon the Rocketfish case.

For $72 this is a steal. It is very similar to LianLi PC-A71B which is currently $280 at Newegg. I'm pretty sure LianLi is the OEM; layout differs mostly in the hard drive cage area and rear exhaust.

It looks like a combination of a few differnt LL models without some of the high end features. All aluminum is nice and there is tons of room inside. If I didnt have 3 unused cases I would buy this thing. I may end up buying it anyways.....

I just bought one $71.99 from BB at Downers Grove, Chicago last night. It is made by Lian Li, very high quality full aluminum made. The front door is very solid/thick and removable.

Damn, I already bought this case for $150.

I really like it. It is definitely made by Lian Li; the bar code on the box said Lian Li right on it.

Thanks I am off to look to see if my BB has it on clearance. I usually don't have luck with this stuff and my area, but at least they show them in stock.

No luck in Manchester, NH $120. Nice case though and even at $120 it's still a good value.
I will wait and watch. If it comes down or if I get a coupon good for cases I will bite.

3 left in Augusta GA. I don't think they'll last past the next shift tho, there was one of those rolling ladders park directly in front of the cases with the yellow clearance tag hidden. While I was trying to wrestle one from behind the ladder an employee came by, asked me if I knew it was a bare case with no components, then walked away.

Mine doesn't say Lian-Li anywhere that I can see but if it's not it's a good replica

nice brushed aluminum
good CD and HD mounts
3 fans, front rear and side, haven't plugged them in but they don't look cheap
door opens and shuts easily but firmly

this thing is huge, bigger than my fulltower AOpen and MUCH roomier inside

no regrets on this purchase, one question tho, should the power supply mount right side up or upside down? I have a 120mm on the bottom and there is a vent space below the PS.

I just got done parting out my antec 900 and putting in this. The quality is suberb. You Wont break this door easy. This case is great. When I was finished with the build I went to go lift and I made a huff because I was preparing for it to be heavy.

This case is super light. When I took it out the box I immediately thought it was cheap due to its weight. Once I got a good hold on it though this thing is pure quality. Soo much room. I like its simplicity but I would like a nice sidewindow.

I just got this for 71.99 at the Best Buy in west OKC.

All the stores around here have it for 119.99 but i got the manager to knock it down (old buddy) to the price you guys were getting it for.

If you talk nice to them they'll probably knock it down if you make them realize it is a clearance item and a loss leader anyways. It's revenue for the store and Rocketfish items are already high in margin (usually...but don't tell them this is Lian Li... i mean don't tell them this is worth a lot)

Anyways the quality is superb. I took pics during my install, my motherboad is absolutely tiny.

Everytime I see the rocketfish brand name I think of the time I ate LongJohnSilvers while on a roadtrip and got really sick....Getting sick was bad enough...but getting sick at a truck stop bathroom......

I jumped on this as well. 3 left at the Wauwatosa, WI BB. I was actually holding out for the LL A05B to fall back down to $60, but this Rocketfish was too good a steal. My box's sticker also confirmed the Lian Li badging.

I agree with everyone else here; the construction is quite solid and the case is light for its size. My only regret is that it's massive - far larger than other full towers I've had in the past. Roomy is nice, but this might be too big for my next build.

Best Buy in Greenwood, Indiana had 6 or 7 left at the $71.99 price after I bought 1 a couple hours ago...

1 was in a box that was dented & falling apart, but if you look at the display tag, turn around, then look up, there's a group of them...

I'm about to open her up...

Update: Checked the BB in Pontiac, MI and they had 3 left @ the $71.99 price and I grabbed one so they have 2 left.

This is a full aluminum case, definitely lighter than 40lbs.

This case for sure looks nice. No restriction on the fan mesh. Seems pretty light. Lots of room. I need to grab one .

Lots of cases available in Dayton OH.....at regular prices. the associate I talked to didn't seemed to interested in a price match to other BB. He told me to check in the Cincy area for the discount.

Yes this case does have a front fan filter, but its not so bad to access. You just have to remove 4 screws, take out the front panel (which is completely aluminum) and you can acess the fan filter. Not so bad for once a month cleaning
