I was thinking about doing the same but the door somewhat muffles the audible coming straight from the front fan even though I already undervolted it down to 8.0.

This case is top notch: good air flow, expansive (hard to outgrow it being it a full tower and bigger items such as future graphics cards or larger cpu heatsinks should not be a problem), lightweight, low acoustics.

My only gripe is I wish the washable front filter is 'easier' to take out like in my Antec Solo.

Too many indian people that read slick deals/ fat wallet/ any hotdeals forums near my bestbuy to stand a chance

Bellevue Washington has the highest amount of indian people in the state. I found this out through an enounter with the community during black friday lol.

Quote from some indian guy in line with me on BF 2006 "You know that $200 360 deal this morning on amazon,; I had 7 of my family members on laptops... we didn't get one!"

Me: "Me either..... (now I know why)....

Investigate the cost of getting your panel cut, window cost, and time. Then compare that total cost to Lian-Li manufactured replacement windowed panels that both Performance PCs and Frozen PC carry. While the panels are about the cost of the Rocketfish case at the $47 price, the panels are actual Lian-Li replacement panels and would save the original panel for other uses or emergency replacement.

Links to Lian-Li windowed panels....both with and without vents:

Lian-Li windowed side panel at Performance PCs.

Lian-Li windowed and vented side panel at Performance PCs.

Lian-Li windowed side panel at Frozen PCs... but I don't know what happened to the price. It was $39.99 two days ago.....today it's $69.99. Possibly a pricing error....I'd ask them if interested in this panel.

Lian-Li windowed and vented side panel at Frozen PCs.

Depending upon where you live, I'd guestimate prices after shipping added to be around $62-$65 for the vented windowed panels. May be worth the price, may not....but these are genuine Lian-Li replacement panels, not some cobbled up panels by the respective sellers.

Will these side panels fit the Rocketfish?

EDIT: Woah! 30 bucks for shipping... the cheapest shipping option, too!

Picked one up from Crestwood, IL best buy, they had 5 left, for 47.99. This case is a huge upgrade from the Antec 900 and is oh so very quiet. And yes, the case is HUGE.

Yup, you don't want to have to pay for shipping on items that are way to light for the size of package they have to occupy. There you get into paying by dimensional weight instead of true weight as those side panels hardly weigh anything, but ship in a good sized box. To ship a Rocketfish, you pay to ship 54.x pounds instead of its 26 pound actual weight.

That's great and all, but not sure if any of those fit this version of the case that rocketfish is rebadging.

if anyone is interested, I have an still-sealed box one that I will sell for actual purchase cost (50.xx I think it was) plus actual shipping. I decided before opening it is way too big for me, so I thought I'd pass along the offer for someone who didn't get one but wanted..

PM me.

I went to one of the Santa Clara ones here in CA, and they told me 5 were in stock By Monterey Rd at 47.99 each. I drove down within 30 minutes, they had ONE left at 72.99. They didn't budge on price, so I bought one for 72 I think I'll end up taking it to the first best buy and getting some money back possibly.

Here in Phx i asked a clerk to do a price check which came back for $119. When i told him about the clearance prices at other stores he hten pulled the stock and prices for all stores in the area Friday night. Because of rush hour I waited until Sat. to check the Awahtukee store where they had 4 cases for $72. When I got there it rang up for $47.99 or $51 with tax. North Scottsdale supposedly had 5 cases. Good luck and it is a very, very nice case.

I picked up the last one at awahtukee today
this case is huge...im not sure i like it lol

Just picked up this case last night finally. I drove around for a while trying to find one since a poster said that there was NONE in Southern California and the closest one was Hawaii (Shame on you who ever said that!) - Got one at Mission Viejo, CA Best Buy for $47.99, and it was the last one. They had it marked on the shelf at $47.99 and apparently there were some in Torrance as well. I'm very happy with this case!

I picked one of these up at my local BB for $47.99. They had one left at the time (Shreveport, LA). I must admit, though, that I didn't realize just how BIG this SOB is. I'm currently running an Antec P180, but this thing dwarfs it! I am gonna give it a try. Don't know that I will keep it, but it is a really nice case.

I might just use it as my computer desk. The thing is almost big enough

There are 3 left for $53 at the BB in Florence, SC. I could pick up one for someone if they want it bad enough to pay the $30 shipping  I sold a Antec 900 recently, and they get you with the size not the weight
