It's a Steam issue though, I don't understand how a RS2014 patch will help?

As recently as 10 days ago, RS2014-only users still weren't able to buy original DLC.

And, from http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...TED*-11-5-13?p=9358162&viewfull=1#post9358162

Of course this is all assuming amanoai does not own the original Rocksmith. (judging by his OP, he does not)

I guess some explanation is necessary. You're right in that right now there's still an issue with this, however it's not intended to be this way. It's a steam issue they're working on. In theory I guess they could never fix the issue, in which case it wouldn't matter what ubisoft intended because it never worked that way.

Yep, as I mentioned before my statement assumes he does NOT own the original Rocksmith.

If one already owns RS on Steam, then there are no issues with trying to acquire the old DLC.

Muse DLC is out today!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eYvh82gdR0

Learn to play "Hysteria," "Muscle Museum," "Stockholm Syndrome," "Supermassive Black Hole," and "Time is Running Out" by Muse on any guitar or bass!

Ah, man... I just saw that and let out a nerdish squee! I think the best part is that they chose songs from earlier albums and did not just turn it into a 2nd Law promo.

I have to say I just discovered the Crypt of the Chord (or whatever it is called) and it is quite fun...it's like Typing of the Dead but with chords.

Also, the band session is kind of cool.

I think it's chord of the undead off the top of my head, but crypt of the chord sounds cool too

I should play more of the guitar cade games, haven't really gotten into them yet.

The game itself has been much cheaper on GMG. As for the cord...hard to say, you used to be able to get it for around $25..

The 360 version was a gift for my boys - I played it for 40 minutes as a newb, and who knew plucking a single string between 3 locations could cause so much pain on your finger or wrist.
Heh ho... let's go.

I will say Uplay almost ruined this for me, but it seems whatever the last update was changed it so it doesn't load up the ubisoft front end everytime you start the game. It was downright annoying how if you didn't have Steam preloaded before starting the game Uplay would load first, then nothing would work. Then Uplay would download some uplay update that (as far as I'm concerned) is completely unnecessary. Then empty you out of all of it so you had to start it again. Seriouly. Ubi have to have some pretty dumb people running the company. Who doesn't test this stuff and say "this is really annoying, and if I paid for this I'd be annoyed and just say fug it and play something else" This is what happened with the last Ubi game I bought by mistake. I'll never load that turd again just because of Uplay. /rant

That being said, Rocksmith itself is well worth the price. It can last you longer than even modded Skyrim would.

I got this today as one of my Christmas gifts and I played it all day. I've been playing for a couple years so the skin on my finger tips has thickened, but damn my fingers hurt after an all day session.

I would like to see some Metallica, AC/DC and more Nirvana in any up coming DLC? Anyone know if this is in the works?

I doubt we will ever see "official" Metallica or AC/DC. Probably a license issues for those other crap games. Nirvana I know had a few songs in the original but you need to own the original and pay to have them moved over to 2014.

I say official because there was a mod for the original that would allow custom created songs and there was some Metallica in there.

I picked up the Santana pack for the xmas sale. Some fun songs

ImpulsE69: Yes that gdamn Uplay crap sucks. Just give me the Steam launch and that's it. Uplay can suck it!

Yeah, I hear you on the guitars. My Les Paul is worth around $4-5k (a '74 custom black beauty), but I need to get a little work done on it again (the neck was always a little out of wack, and had to have it shimmed. I think it is just the truss rod right now, but I can't manage to get it right without screwing with the intonation). As a result I have been playing my Strat or my Telecaster. I can't believe how much the American Standard Telecasters are going for now, almost all of them are over $1k. I bought mine for $300 before I went to college (it was so I didn't take the Les Paul).

The Line 6 JTV 89F (James Taylor Variax) might be the perfect guitar that can combine all your guitars into one.

I'm saving up for this..... my next purchase: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/JTV89FBR/ :awe:
