If that's the kind of car they buy what does the house look like?

2800 sq ft mediterranean-style

How's the crime rate in the area? I give it 2 or 3 months before it gets vandalized.

1. I think they're keeping it in the garage

2. Very safe area

Why compete?

My parents are happy with the cars they drive and our family has already agreed that in a few years, we'd like to buy a bigger house rather than a $400K car. So Cal housing bubble is going to burst soon and we'll buy a bigger house after that.

edit: I don't whose Maybach this is going to be (wife or husband) but they didn't exactly have awesome cars to begin with. Wife drives a Toyota Corolla wagon from 1994 or something and husband drives a Ford Excursion (I guess contractors have to lug around a lot of things)

hey - it's their money and if they can afford it, they can buy whatever they want.

that said, that maybach is not worth it. nothing screams old fart like a maybach. i'd drop that money into a Ferrari 360 spyder or hardtop

how is that car worth $300K+?!

it's very nice, but no where near that price....I wouldn't pay more than $150K for a car like that.

you friend must make over $1M/yr

that's what my thought was

I asked them how much it was (before I saw the sticker) and I was thinking maybe $170K and when they said to look at the sticker, I was amazed.

He builds huge apartment buildings and must get quite a lot of dough from it... he owns the company

That, and I think his relatives in India are quite wealthy too, so he had quite a start.

And I know it's not stolen because the car salesmen drove it home with them and showed them things about the car and stuff which he hadn't gone over at the dealership.

I personally think its fugly, a RR or a bentley would have been a much better and classier choice IMO.

I like it, but too much money

I'd rather get 3 Maserati Quattroportes

Or just 1 and save the money
