Most AT'ers are competitive. It's fine for them to look at cars on the manufacturer's website and on review sites, but the second anyone actually OWNS one, or even knows someone that owns one, they are obligated to provide reasons why they and their Honda are better.

I guess it seeds from the whole "my computer is better than yours" thing ...

Ah well ... it's not my car and I'm not jealous ...

I'd rather get a Maserati Quattroporte, Audi A8L W12, and the 2007 S55 AMG

But I know that's not going to happen

What a ridiculous purchase.

Maybachs are designed to be passenger's cars, not driver's cars. It doesn't matter if it's a MB 57 or a 63; you want to be the passenger in either one and have someone else do the driving.

So unless this family has a chauffeur, it was crappy buying decision. If you're sitting in the driver seat, you're pretty much driving an overweight S55 AMG, except you paid three times the price.

They probably should have just bought a CLS55 AMG...that is a much better driver's car, it looks much better, it drives better, it's faster, and I'm sure if they wanted some LCDs in the back seats for the kids they could have had those installed for a grand.

Very nice.

If that's the kind of car they buy what does the house look like?

2800 sq ft mediterranean-style

Damn that's like a 50 million dollar house in California. They actually got their money from the Nigerian bank?

Jealous people
Now if Jay Leno was your neighbor I bet nobody here would be posting anything negative.

What does Jay Leno have to do with it?

In any case - at the very least, it seems a tremendous lack of imagination. I can think of alot better ways to blow $300K then on a car

I'm surprised no one has mentioned it, but it's probably a lease. Still expensive, say 2K a month, but nothing unaffordable to someone well off.

Umm, I don't think your standard 'leasing' is even possible on that car, considering they are all 100% custom build-to-order (he didn't pick it out on the lot). Financing yes, leasing NO!

Yep.

I didn't even have to think. That is two blowjobs a day for ten years from a decent looking hooker or the salary of the new slutty secretary.

They might be just trying to explain how interest rates & residual value work.

You can lease any car. 1 million dollar car or a 5k used car. You just ahvce to have the credit, money, and a bank willing to do it and there are plenty of those.

Is this car for business...like a limo for clients? I can't imagine kids riding in this.
