The Texas Freedom Caucus...I stopped there.Further interesting developments on the topic of travelling to another state to get an abortion:
Texas lawmakers test how far their threats against abortions can reach
Letters warning of felony charges for firms who offer funds could set up a showdown over constitutional rightswww.theguardian.com
Sounds as if the above is a direct threat to this idea.
Seems they are indeed going to try and stop women travelling to another state for an abortion. If they can
Then presumably that would include any bus company or airline someone used to travel to a state where abortion was legal, thus making it near-impossible for women to travel to seek an abortion? At a stretch it might even make interstate transportation companies hesitant about allowing pregnant women to use their services at all. Would a small car-hire firm risk renting a car to a woman who might be travelling to get an abortion?
My guess is they won't do that because that would alert the people in their states of just how crazy their laws are and their hope seems to be to make draconian laws that for the most part only women who become pregnant become aware of. So basically terrorize pregnant women and medical staff while having the rest of the state be blissfully unaware. Not just pregnant women, but women in general. You can't really tell when a woman is a few weeks pregnant. My guess is that soon women are going to have to sign a waiver stating that they are not pregnant or planning to get an abortion in order to board a plane.
They're teaching s*x ed at Sunday school now?!! Ohhh...THAT Big Bang...I actually learned about the big bang in Sunday school at an ELCA Lutheran church when I was a kid, taught as a real thing.
Shouldn't he be in jail by now?! Justice moves so slowYou guys do realize the reason Matt Gaetz and Ted Cruz and all those mouth breathers say these things is precisely because that’s how you get attention and improve your stature in right wing circles. The more you piss off the libs the more they like you so it’s essentially a competitive exercise at who can say the most outrageous things.
Anyone have of an update? Turns out Roberts was trying to turn 2 justices into not ending Roe completely. Then the leak happened.Remember how all the right wing media got such a hard on about the leaked memo
They went 24x7 about the memo. SCOTUS was launching an investigation
Interesting, we haven’t heard any results and right wing media hasn’t mentioned it in a long time
My spidey senses are tingling somethings up

Right wing media was blaming the progressive justices. I don't have evidence, but my instincts say this has Clarence Thomas or his staff written all over it.
We should have the leaker by now. Why no word?
I thought freedom = guns in American. Some people are really confused about the meaning of the word freedom.
Pretty Brutal anti-Abbott ad here.
Abbott is very likely to win. He is declining in the polls but it seems hard to imagine him declining far enough to lose. But come Nov, Abbot wins by a landslide.
A leak from the right would not be a shock.
They're less likely to find the leaker than somebody admit to it a while down the line out of pride.
I've said it was from the right all along. It's the only thing that made sense. And all the "FIND THE LEAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!" shit went noticeably silent after the outrage it sparked wasn't useful anymore.
If I lived in any other industrialized country than the US, I would view a vacation to the US on par with one to North Korea.
Nah... Australians have a pretty nuanced view of Americans. MAGA folk and everyone else...If I lived in any other industrialized country than the US, I would view a vacation to the US on par with one to North Korea.
No universal healthcare. Representatives who actively subvert democracy. Representatives who bow to the whims of large corporate interests. Poor public transportation infrastructure. Expensive telecommunications infrastructure. A president who attempted a coup and still maintains popular support among 1 if the 2 major political parties. Courts stripping away rights like bodily autonomy. 1 of 2 major political parties using racist scare tactics as primary means of garnering support. 1 of 2 major political parties actively disenfranchising voters.Youre confused lol
You have consumed way too much orange kool-aid.Youre confused lol

Yeah, sure sounds like a paradise to me.
Did you bother to read it?Looks like justice Thomas has been removed as an instructor at George Washington University:
Justice Thomas no longer listed as GWU faculty after Roe backlash (msn.com)
