Also correct.
Without Trump being able to appoint Gorsuch, Kav and ACB this decision would not have been possible but he was elected and he was able to pick 3 justices. Way to go for putting purity ahead of pragmatism when it actually mattered.
Those gas prices tho.
100% nails my thoughts.
I'll go a step further..... keep your sky-fairy B$ the heck away from me!
IMO these people and their superstitious anti-science nonsense are a serious danger to anyone with a functioning brain.
The next time some hypocrite "christian" starts preaching where I can hear it there's going to be problems.
LOL, blackangst - wtf are you even doing here.
If it didn't end abortion, they why are R's going mad over this victory?
Guess what slugger, they OVERTURNED that ruling that allowed women to choose, that allowed PRIVACY in your life, and so forth.
Lol the orange monkey is a puppet. This is all moscow MitchAlso correct.

Agreed, and it's why one of the most Constitutionally-possible fixes is to adopt Strong Federalism.Maybe.
You do have to hold your nose and pick the least-bad-option, given the world as it is.
But it does get tiresome how centrists constantly need the left to bail them out - and then invariably turn round and go back to entirely ignoring the threat from the right and putting all their effort into attacking that left. See Macron and Starmer. Centrists will never do the same and put the wider good ahead of their form of 'purity'.
Furthermore, partly this happened because a centrist like RBG enjoyed being part of the insiders club, and forgot what the point of the whole thing was.
Maybe.

Look. I think this was a terrible ruling. But many people are misunderstood in that it outlaws abortion federally. It doesnt.
It doesn't matter, it's a dumb argument you're making. The SCOTUS just dumped a Federal ruling with contradictory logic that will allow states to not only ban a right guaranteed in the constitution, but ban that right even outside of that state.
So look, get over yourself and the lame word games. the implications of this ruling is far reaching and will not stop here.
Gotta catch on to the fact it has nothing to do with religion.

This.
The outrage over this ruling that clearly was based on forcing "Christian values" (rotfl) based purely on superstition, a book written by random primitive/ignorant people and belief in magic sky-fairies down everyone else's throat has only just begun.
I feel terrible for my daughters.
so it’s just a coincidence most pro-lifers are christians and believe life starts at “just the tip”?Gotta catch on to the fact it has nothing to do with religion.

Yes, it's about control. It's always been about control. The uterus is just the vehicle, Jesus the driver. Control is the destination.so it’s just a coincidence most pro-lifers are christians and believe life starts at “just the tip”?
If it wasn't religion it'd be something else, don't go playing whackamole with the wrong thing. Personal agency and bodily autonomy is the only thing that needs to be targeted. To the people PUSHING this agenda from leadership positions I completely agree.... its about old white men maintaining control.
To the run-of-the-mill GOP/Confederate voter however religion is what its about and so it needs to be addressed.

Actually it does. Evangelicals are claiming life begins at conception but oddly enough the Bible says life begins at birth.Gotta catch on to the fact it has nothing to do with religion.
Genesis 2:7, when God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.”
Of course he would, he'd be regarded as a left wing lunatic, and the greatest danger to America today. Fox news would resurrect the corpse of Hitler to give a talk on why we should flay Jesus alive. To be fair the actual IRL Jesus would be appalled by most "Christians" these days.
If it wasn't religion it'd be something else
Again, religion is just the vehicle of the message. Even if you deleted the knowledge of religion from everyone's brain, they'd still have a desire to control people and they'd just use a different vehicle.Actually it does. Evangelicals are claiming life begins at conception but oddly enough the Bible says life begins at birth.
Their position is based on their claim of religion and forcing that belief on other people. It isn't based on a plurality of science.

One difference Skippy, Clarence Thomas has already announced @ch33zw1z is justified in his concern. You sound like Republicans when Obama was elected...theyre going to take my guns!!!
SCOTUS has reversed over 230 decisions they themselves have made and the world didnt end.
Obama was elected to office and the right acted on thinly veiled racism and an unfounded claim of gun restrictions. Scotus are unelected and serve for life and have already shown their willingness to essentially misrepresent if not actually lie under oath during their confirmation. Also raising a future ruling on contraception and marriage equality doesn't inspire confidence that the separation of church and state will hold. You sound like Republicans when Obama was elected...theyre going to take my guns!!!
