We have dual citizenships from Poland and Canada. We are originally all from Poland though, even I was born there. But I enjoy all the people flaming me in this thread, all I can do is recommend you guys to a "bridging" professional.

Stuff like this in Canada does not fly either, but the trucking industry is just one of those places where you do what you're told or you get the boot. It takes 5 minutes to see if someone is natural and has the logic to drive a 60 + foot vehical without killing anyone.

To the flamers here, don't flame me, I will tell you who you should be flaming. You should be flaming the college for:

1. Accepting these individuals into the licensing program.
2. Graduating them and issuing them licenses so they can go and most likely cause an accident in the future because even after 3 months of lessons they still are not confident in their driving ability.

You should also be flaming the Canadian ministry of transportation for allowing individuals from overseas to obtain instant licenses in Canada without having to do any sort of road tests. Many of these people come from places where they have never even driven a car, or if they did the rules on their roads are non existent (for example in India most places don't even have traffic lights and hundreds of people die from motorvehical related accidents). All of a sudden they come here and are allowed to drive on 16 lane highways because they are over 30 + and have some sort of license from their native country. Go lawl @ the real issues, not my dads briding mechanics

Huh, whats a car?

And what's a traffic light?

And sure, your dad has told you about how some people have ridden elephants but not cars in their life.

Blame your dad being a prick on Canada? How does Canada have anything to do with your father thinking it's funny to screw with people who are ignorant (not stupid) about everything available to them now that they're no longer living in the third world?

I didnt laugh. Your dad is a bit of a jerk but learning sarcasm and when someone is trying to pull one over on you is part of adjusting to any culture.
Hypothetically (to all the people who think his dad is the devil), if all the students were born and raised americans just stupid and/or gullible would you think him as much of a asshole?

I highly doubt that, they call him "Sir" and they listen patiently/attentively like no tomorow. Im pretty sure my dad would know if they were just pretending to play "dumb". The point of the story is that they actually do fall for it and are serious in their inquiries. Plus my dad and his trucking buddies all talk about shit they do while giving lessons, hearing them talk sometimes is like a fuckin comedy show. The best is when they compare counts of how many sign poles each one mowed down today with the trailer. If they mow their own mirrors down because they drive too close to the curb its like bonus points. And if they destroy a docking warehouse and rearrange bricks its like they scored the jackpot of the day, either that or making the transmission explode lol.

Those trucks are 2007 models and have like 80,000 km on them and have been through so many repairs its not even funny.

And maybe ya we are both douchebags but you have to have fun in life, or else whats the point?

lol ive been called sir by indian immigrants that were yelling at me in a fit of rage. that means nothing.

that stuff is still stuff id say also, so i did giggle. i also giggle at all the people that get offended about stuff like this.

I wouldn't call him the devil. I just think people who get their kicks by systematically causing others' misery fall into the "prick" category.

No that's someone else who posted in one of my threads. My dad is the one that turns off the house water in the middle of my morning shower and causes a family outrage. And my mom punches black chicks in the face that punch my car windows. Look up some of my threads you will see.

He also takes some that just came to Canada by this warehouse that has a huge moose on top of it with wings. Then he tells them about this rare animal we have here and how they can see it if they go to Algonquin Park during the end of the summer when it's their mating season. The more intelligent students will ask if it's a bird or a mammal and how could it be possible. He tells them about bats and how they are mammals, which results in a deep state of thought. I wonder if any park rangers that work at Algonquin Park ever got anyone asking about flying mooses. LOL

We had one up here in Alaska. If I remember the story correctly, a moose fell off of a cliff hanging over the road and landed on a police car.

That's not flying! That's falling with style!!

EDIT: Found it. I thought the original report had been that it landed on the car, but apparently it fell in front of it.

From the article:
Peterson called one of the charities that salvage road kill.

x1billion+WTF.

Our moose are huge. When one dies from vehicle impact, or in this case from impact with the ground, there are various charity groups on a list that can be called to come harvest the meat. I went to meet a friend once as she was getting out of church, and they had just received a call of a moose that was hit on the highway.

It lived long enough to leave the road and it died in an adjacent field. I went with her and a group of people from the church and we gutted and skinned it, loaded the carcass into her truck, then hanged the carcass from someone's porch until the next day when it could be cut down into smaller portions to be frozen.

I take offense to that, my dad is an engineer educated by the communist university system of the 70's in Poland. He owns face, even used to build his own fiberglass sailboats.
