A similar dude lasted about 30 minutes on our campus lol. Campus police just dragged his butt off of campus for disturbing the peace.

I guess there is crazy everywhere.

Gary was at State too.

I personally liked having nutjobs like him in the brickyard. It made going to and coming from class more interesting. Sometimes I'd stop, get some lunch and listen to him rambling with students for a while.

Somethings I remember from Micah's visit:

Masturbaters are going to hell. (Good-bye AT! )
He will not shake hands with a mastubater.
Mother Teresa is in hell, along with all the popes.
Martin Luther King, Jr. is in hell.
He has not sinned in ten years.
He sued a guy for choking him after calling his gf a whore.
There are no prostitutes downtown because the sorority girls have put them out of business.

I'm sure there are a lot more which I've forgotten.

Who says he's Christian?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian

If he's mentioning God, or Jesus in his songs...chances are he is in some way, shape, or form. He may not even believe the same thing you do...still lumped into the same category.

A lot of people can say whatever they want and claim to be doing God's work, that does not necessarily make it so.

I'm sorry, but this part made my day (I laughed too hard for the office environment I'm in here...

"It's not okay to be GAY!"

"Jesus didn't live that way."

"It's not okay to be a homo..."

"Jesus says that's a no no..."

Nah. Different guy. This guy's been here for years and lives in Newark DE.

Ah, interesting. I could swear that was the same song BM sang though.

Most compuses have their own designated wacko. At NCSU it was Gary for several years. He would scream red-faced in front of a big wooden cross at the brickyard most days. Like typical campus preachers, he hated everyone, especially "sodomizing homo perverts."

He was in prison for several years before recanting his "wicked ways," so I always took his homophobia as a reaction to prison anal rapings that he most likely experienced. The students that gathered around, mostly arguing with him, were known as "Branch Garidians."

No you can't do that. That would be like beating up a retarded kid. If you succumb to his ignorance and resort to violence, he wins. You'd only be proving his point. The best thing to do is simply ignore lunatics like this.

It was probably guilt centered around the idea that he liked those anal rapings, but can't admit it to himself.

And what proof is required for someone to be called a Christian. Is there an organization that certifies people as Christians? Yeah I didn't think so. You may not like it but most of the people are Christians. They just have radically different views of Christianity than you do.

I'm a scientist, but I know everything. I'm a warrior, but I don't fight. I'm an atheist, but I believe in God.

This guy is NOT a Christian. I'm not just stating an opinion- the Bible is crystal clear on the subject. Any REAL Christian should at least know which book of the Bible most clearly and simply addresses this question without even having to look.

The definition of a christian is a loose one. Yours is no more correct than anyone else's. If someone identifies themself as one, for all intents and purposes they are one.

We had one at U of Michigan Flint, too. Must be a tough job, trying to convert college kids like that when a lot of them have rainbow buttons on their bags and such.

Ever heard of confirmation? That's about as close as you can get to certified Christian.

Even confirmed Christians can try to spread their word (rather than the word) through means that are dubious at best. That is not necessarily what is encouraged (e.g. tolerance, humility, understanding). To me, a man standing in a public area screaming that homosexuals and masturbators will burn in hell, and claiming to do so in the name of Jesus, is not that much different than certain (i.e. 'radical') Muslims blowing up places and people, allegedly in the name of Allah.

EDIT: The point I'm trying to make is that this screaming man, and others like him in public and on TV, should not be taken as the representation of Christian values.
