I'm looking forward to this (even though I managed to avoid watching a single trailer). We will likely go on Saturday or Sunday matinee.
To be honest I assume the Star Wars brand is going to become over saturated and annoying eventually but we're not there yet so might as well have fun with it while we still can.
I think the worst oversaturation and annoyingness came with Phantom Menace. But that's partially because the movie was aimed at 8 year-olds.
I happy if we get lots of dark yet exciting and potentially thought-provoking spin-offs. Mind you, The Force Awakens wasn't one of them. That one was just a remake of Episodes 4 and 6.
Not sure when to go to this movie. It's hard with the two little kids around as they are too young to watch with us and too young to stay at home by themselves, and getting trustworthy babysitters has been a real bitch to organize.
If we wait for the in-laws to come, that will be Xmas time, and I don't want to wait that long. I may end up going by myself at like 10 pm one night after the kids have gone to bed, with mom at home, and then will go again with mom when the in-laws come. If the wife will let me see it without her that is.
EDIT:
Holy shit. The tickets are $20.50 CAD for IMAX. I guess the good news is it is a real IMAX with dual laser DLPs. And they're selling $43.09 "supertickets" which include the ticket plus a digital copy pre-order.
