Nice work rollo with the bench's. I decided to go ATI this gen, I had the 256 gtx in my cart at newegg for about a week before pulling the trigger on the 1900XT. I just cant wait for the 7900s.
anyway damn it seems like every time you post something you get hammered with a bunch of negative stuff...it is kind of shatty to see all the argueing in these threads when most of us just want to see what card is going to best, I am sure that we are not going on one persons word about performance on a 400-600 dollar purchase. does anybody read more than one review or set of benchmarks before buying a videa card or do we all jump because ONE persons opinion.
I am sure that ATI has its people doing the same thing out there somewhere.

My X1800XT results with FEAR @ 1600x1200 4x AA 8x AF, everything maxed:

Screenie

Min. fps = 18
Ave. fps = 29
Max fps = 47

They should be very comparable to Rollo's, since he has a 2.4 GHz A64, same as mine's running at, & we both have 2 GB RAM.

Yea, i think its the NV's not so efficent AA that hurts NV most in F.E.A.R. 16x12 results show the GTX 512mb dominating F.E.A.R. (i got to hand it to ATi with there efficent AA which is making the X series so competitive to the 7 series, even though the 7 series has a sligth edge in shader performance.)

Yeah, ATi does well with FEAR, i think mainly because even with the old X1800XT, they do better in shader intensive titles.
