Rolo's joke of the day 6

Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was
really pissed.

She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the
driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in under 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!"

The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke
up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box
gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought
the box back in the house.

She opened the box.

In it she found a brand new bathroom scale.

No, I prefer the OP's version. I can't stand jokes that try to milk the punchline by adding something "cute" or supposedly witty AFTER the punchline has been told, and the joke is essentially over. OF COURSE his wife is mad at him, that's the whole point of the joke, and the punchline makes it obvious that she's going to be REALLY pissed. SAYING that yeah, she got pissed, and beat the crap out of him, etc. etc. is just unnecessary baggage. Too many jokes try to carry on the punchline too long and by then, it's already old.

Have to agree. Once the joke's told, it's told. No need for a freaking epilogue.
