They've already got DLC for preorders... so I guess the plan is to nickel and dime us to death. Whoopee.
Wish they would make a Civil War version of this game, that period of history is basically ignored in gaming.
Possibly because that's very US-Centric and no one outside of the US would care about it. Especially a British development company.

Also total war with guns is just bad. Two lines of men standing in a line is not as interesting as a massive melee.
I dunno. Perhaps it's not as exciting to look at, but it opens up a whole new variety of tactics; and there are always bayonet charges for melee.
The issue with guns in Total War is, outside of Fall of the Samurai, the AI had no idea what to do with them.
It did for me. I just put in an order for a new PC. My 4870 lasted me quite a while, but it's time for an upgrade.

Besides, North and South for the NES basically had it covered.

Go to a civil war reenactment and you will actually find a lot of people from the UK there. Remember a lot of their family members lived here and were in that war. there is more interest than you think.Possibly because that's very US-Centric and no one outside of the US would care about it. Shogun (I never played fall much) guns were fine because they were just a small mix of the units. Empire it was awful because they were the core of your army and it was just boring as snot. I could only stand playing like 10 turns of Empire (I played Rome a ton and then got a huge pack of all the TW games eventually)... I love grand strategy too so the expanded scope of the strategy in Empire would have been awesome to me... except for the combat totally ruining the game.

Port that bitch to a modern engine asap.
What did you decide on (GPU wise)
Looking at a 7850 maybe. Can't afford a new system for awhile.
Loved that game, also on Amiga and speccy.Besides, North and South for the NES basically had it covered.
