It doesn't feel right demonizing the businesspeople in this case.
Yes it does - they trashed a bunch of people's livelihood to make a quick buck.
Liberals want companies to run their businesses at losses.Are these people owed a livelihood by the people in question? It seems to me businesspeople provided these people an opportunity--to make a wage for their services. Are you proposing any offer of a fair wage by a businessperson be permanent? The same incentives for profit that created these jobs in the first place is what sent them to China.
My point is we shouldn't be demonizing business for operating effectively. We should recognize there are people who temporarily suffer as a result of this process and strengthen the social safety net.
Fuck Steve Perry!Fuck Obama too. Now what?
But the government doesn't create jobs.
Mitt= I will create 12 million jobs.
lol
Whether that still exists or not is another question.
That engine was well protected by walls of tariffs. When the tariffs went, so did the engine. Protectionism worked, it just worked for the wrong people.When you slash and burn the government largess, capitalism can return to this country and, in theory, we can have past growth return. Reality is that, yes, the world is different, our economy is global, and !@#$ isn't ever going to as good as it used to be.
Still doesn't discount the need to stop smothering capital and constricting the market by government fiat. Stimulus and mandates pick winners and losers, DESTROYS investment by placing returns at the whims of madmen in government.
The conservative motto is to free the market, to use the engine that built this nation into the greatest power on earth. Whether that still exists or not is another question.
Seriously...why do you think China or Japan or any other country protects its markets so vehemently?That engine was well protected by walls of tariffs. When the tariffs went, so did the engine. Protectionism worked, it just worked for the wrong people.
