He fought to bring down the Berlin Wall so that the East could taste freedom and families and friends could be reunited. Europe is in its current prosperous state in part due to Ronald Reagan. NATO welcomed new members from the former Eastern Bloc.

Today's world is vastly different compared to the times prior to the Reagan presidency.

I was nine when Reagan became President. A lot of people on this board can not understand what the country went through in the early eighties under Reagan. I feel like I have lost a close relative.
