First off, I just like to say: I have been reading the Hot Deals Forums for a couple of months and its great!! I also discovered price matching recently which is also a great tool?

Bare in mind this is my first post?..

I came upon this deal which I thought was HOT!!!

Staples.com says item is ?Out of Stock?. I know my store got 8 earlier in the week for the sale so check your local staples.

wargod, you may not want to post where you work. One of our members lost his job at another store for giving us info on upcoming deals.

On that "other" board, they've been able to apply coupons at the b&m.

then I had a $30 gift certificate

Got this for just under $35 dollars!

I also ordered one over the phone. Called, told her the sku, asked her to apply $40 off code, then AFTER she applied that I mentioned the $100 off code from the website. For $60.24 plus tax. To be delivered monday.

From what I hear though the online deal will NOT work, the phone may still work. The best bet is the B&M though. There is a post at that "other" board that has a link to a printable coupon for the B&M store, it has a 40 off 200 and a 20 off 100. So if they won't let you use the $40 you can still grab a pack of gum and use the $20. Should work!

If it is like all of the other compaq printers then it is based off a lexmark. That would mean that it is probably the X73.

I got my printer. It came up instantly at the register for 99.99 then I applied a 20of100. So it was like 80 dollars plus tax. Good deal in my book??.

I was able to get an advanced copy of next week?s circular. I need someone to host them once I scan it.

Also, people keep saying ?other boards?. Can someone clue me in where they are?

Out of stock at my B&M. They let me have a Lexmark X83 for the same deal. I later changed it to a Lex X63 cause I wanted the fax capability. Same deal for the X63 - nice folks at my Staples.

Before you jump into this have you checked the price of the ink for this guy?

About $32.00 each. 3 cartridges and that's the price of the printer/scanner/copier.

Don't forget also that this guy doesn't come with a USB cable either.

As far as the ink cartridges are concerned, that obstacle can be easily skippe dover by investing in one of those in refill kits. Other than that, I dont find a reason to not buy it since most of you peeps seem to have a GC of coupon laying around...Merry early XMAS!

Bit of a stretch, but:

Compaq have rebates on A1500's and C31000's. I can't find a C31000 on their website.

There is an online rebate serial number check.

Can someone who's purchased one check it out. If it's valid - it's FREE!
