Who do you want to see in the Rose Bowl or Who do you think should be playing?

My Vote:
University of Texas vs. Miami

EDIT: Oh, try to keep this to teams that could realistically make it to the top 2 in the BCS, even if it took a lot of weirdness to do it. Keep it to the current BCS Top 15, let's say.

Personally, I wish it as still Pac-10 vs. Big Ten (i.e. Oregon vs. Illinois) but since tradition has been tossed aside, Miami vs. Florida should make for a great game.

Let me guess, you're from Austin. Nice town, my sister lives there.

So here goes my "guess where I'm from" prediction.

Oregon vs. Texas in a rematch of last years Holiday Bowl.

Haven't guessed where I'm from? Here's a hint.....Different Bowl, same result

seriously, florida could get bumped pretty easily by texas. Miami would have to have a loss to even have a chance of being bumped by anyone.

That's cause Pac10 and Big10 aren't the toughest confrences anymore. Big 12 is easily the most competitive, followed by Big East and SEC.

I'm rooting for Oregon to be in it, though the chances are really slim (though still possible!)

Miami and Florida!

I'd love to go to Cali. to see this game! I've never been west of Atlanta, and it would be too much fun.

No $ = no travel, so, I'll just watch it on TV.

Go Gators!

Big East?!@#?!@# All they have is Miami and VT, and occaisonaly BC...SEC and Big 12 are EASILY the best two football conferences. Personally, I'd rank the Big 10 and Pac 10 above the Big East

Btw, the Rose Bowl goes back to Big 10 vs. Pac 10 next year, unless one of the teams would be in the BCS championship game.

Well...if TX smashed CU again, tons of quality win points...destiny not as in control as you think.

Actually, the Rose Bowl wasn't always Pac/Big 10. Duke played in it once, and during WWII, they played it in Durham.

This year, probably going to be Florida/Miami..........get ready for tons of whining by Steve Spurrier if Miami dares to tackle any of UF's players.

<<If God Is Not a Longhorn.......... then why was the sunset this evening Burnt Orange?>>

I see tons of those bumper stickers here in Denver.....but you'll have to take out "Longhorn" and replace it with "Bronco fan".

No way. :Q Burnt Orange is the official and exclusive color of the Texas Longhorns. I think we even have a trademark on it. :|

It was never about the Big Ten and the Pac 10 being the toughest, it was an agreement between the bowl operators and those two confrences. Even back when the Rose Bowl was still our own (speaking as one who grew up with Big Ten football), we still knew that the Sugar Bowl had far more impact on the national championship than the Rose Bowl did. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I HATE the BCS for no other reason than it took away our bowl game. :|

WTF have you been smoking? Those conferences have a couple good teams and a host of mediocre ones. Whereas the Big 10 usually has at least 5-6 highly competitive, ranked teams, that have to fight it out for a title. This year is a bit of an off year for the Big 10, but most years it is easily the toughest.

And look who puts more players in to the NFL ... the Big 10, plus "those Florida schools".

The Big 12 isnt a slouch. Texas and Texas A&M would be even better if about 50% of the best high school players in the state of Texas didnt go to schools in Florida...

Not so fast. This is the same FL team that lost to Auburn. The VOLS have a good shot at beating FL. Being a huge VOL fan, I would like to see Miami lose to VT and Texas beat Colorado. If Tennessee went on to win the SEC then this would result in a UT vs UT in the Rose Bowl. If however, TN wins out along with Texas and Miami, it will be TN and Miami in the Rose bowl. TN will gain bonus points for beating a top 10 team while Texas will lose points for beating Colorado because they would drop from the top 10 costing them bonus points they now have for beating them earlier in the year. The BCS is a compicated thing.
