Pretty obvious this was a very dumb thing to say. No matter if it was a joke, taken the wrong way, or taken exactly how she meant it. Dumb, insensitive and bigoted thing to say.

My only wish that those who claim to be outraged by this, didn't have selective outrage about racism and bigotry. Why do I say this? No outrage over Joy Reids bigoted comments. No backlash. No protests to lose sponsors or her job. Nothing happened to her. MSM largely silent over it. In fact, what does she get to do? Have a discussion on TV about how bad Roseanne's comments are. From one bigot to another. Great job by MSNBC. Pro tip: both are bad and neither should get a pass on it. Only a few reasons why Reid got a pass on it that I can think of. If a Fox host did what she did, it would be a totally different story Those who deny this, are either a liar, ignorant ,or naive.

Unless we assume the FBI went completely rogue, it is inconceivable that the deployments of personnel to spy on the Trump campaign and make provocative contact with its lesser members could have occurred without the full knowledge and control of the occupants of the Oval Office.

Obama may claim a scandal-free administration, but after Fast and Furious, the targeting of the Tea Party by the IRS, the Benghazi cover-up, Hillary's emails, to name a few, Spygate is just the latest. I use the plural "occupants" because while Barack Hussein Obama may have been nominally the president of the United States, at the heart of every one of these scandals and virtually every administration move was Valerie Jarrett, who arguably could be considered our first female president.

Jarrett, born in Iran to American parents, has been with the Obamas since her days as deputy chief of staff in the office of Chicago mayor Richard Daley, the younger. She hired Michelle Obama, then Michelle Robinson, to fill an opening in the mayor's office.

It seems like every RWNJ "news" article follows the same blueprint, I swear. Begin with a false premise, coyly presented as though it were a question. Then lead-in with a recollection of past grievances, true or not, in order to get the emotions up. Followed by accusations of guilt by association, with constant reminders to the audience that the target is different from them, not one of them, and plays for the other team (if you will). Finally concluding with the verdict that that act of being one of The Others by itself signifies malicious intent and conclusive evidence of guilt, without ever any meaningful facts having been presented.

And then there is this idea that in some circumstances medications, recreational pharmaceuticals including alcohol can be much like truth serum where the user becomes emboldened and careless enough to reveal their true feelings and selves.

Seems to me in Roseanne's case, the aforementioned is more plausible than her "excuse" that ambien made her tweet something that she didn't mean or that she did it to bump her ratings up a notch, seeing as if her show catered directly to the demographic that are sympathetic to what she tweeted.

He was running on the party ticket of the last president, a guy who just oversaw two terms that included the worst terrorist attack in history, one failed war, one catastrophically failed war that he lied us into, and a worldwide economic collapse. I agree she is and she’s a known nut. Given that it’s surprising ABC took that risk in the first place. Which honestly is kind of a sad statement in and of itself because comedians are vile creatures and we used to love them for it. A comedian being offensive never used to stop the presses. We live in a sanitized and more importantly polarized world now and both sides are guilty of that. Kathy Griffin sure felt the effects of "you just can’t do that anymore". So did the lady at the Trump roast recently. Maybe it’s for the best, but I doubt it. If comedians can’t ruffle a few feathers then that’s something to think about.

Not defending Rosanne and not poo pooing ABCs swift kick in the butt to her because I think they definitely did the right thing. Nor am I saying racism is good because I’ve repeatedly stated over and over on here that it’s not, any of it. She’s probably full of shit and squirming in damage control no doubt. Someone said ambien can’t be the reason why though and my response was ambien makes you do crazy shit so it’s not unreasonable that had an influence. Big pharma came out with their response of nope we aren’t at fault which is just damage control of their cash cow and I get that, but it’s a drug that does have crazy side effects. Racism isn’t one of them but losing impulse control and sending things you shouldn’t is.
