Why is life so unfair to conservatives. They are the true victims here.
I think this is just another part of why conservatives of the current era feel so "victimized" by the world around them. As mentioned over and over again, the open access to people and information has unfortunately allowed hate groups to prosper and multiply, where as before they would be isolated to tiny local communities and never could have organized like they can today. The internet is highly successful in "validating" hate groups internally due to their perceived online communities.
Conversely, the internet has exposed the rest of the world
to them. Now, instead of being comfortably hateful in their own tiny, local groups, free from criticism, judgement, and honest challenges, their new-found strength in numbers is being tested in the light of the rest of the world. Where before they felt isolated in numbers and now feel strong, they are also finding great difficulty in accepting a fundamental truth: the majority of the world simply doesn't like them. Their ideas are unpopular, and for every reason that they have now forgotten, their true nature is causing real problems for them and their livelihood. It's like they completely forgot that they were always hiding in the cracks because they knew they were fringe groups. But this false assurance through groupthink via the power of the internet, which has successfully preserved the thought bubble, is now backfiring when they try to reassert themselves in public.
One can understand why the feel so confused, so specifically "victimized" by criticism of their bleak, terrible souls--because their diseased minds are partially the result of zero exposure to negative feedback to fix their terrible behavior. One might say they were weaned far too early from the warm and cozy nest of their online hate forums. They are suffering from a false assurance of online numbers (lol--on top of that, probably 20% or more of the members of their groups are informants) that has not prepared them from the unassailable fact that the rest of the world has long left them behind. Pushback is confusing to them, so this is them lashing out. Eventually, old idiots like boomerang will be dead and feeding worms, just like their generations-old ideas, already long since discarded by modern, useful society. I feel that Trumptardia is the last dying gasp of the truly wretched. Well, I hope so. I just don't want these morons to start going all shooty.
