When I woke up this morning all of my rigs were sitting with no work to do. I had to reset my router, but that certainly doesn't account for -16,000 in production.

Thanks for the reminder BMC, it's been awhile since I ran a boinc project....just checked and I was set for less than 1 day. Upped it to 4 days...that should insure some breathing room for me

In order to prevent that from happening, just go to your account and set the "connect to network every XX days" setting to a higher value. If the router goes down, you still have work to crunch.

Err....don't you mean a lower value? I think I set mine to .02 days, which i believe would be about every half hour? Unless i'm completely wrong, which I usually am.

Update: I'm wrong. Set it to 5 and it started downloading like mad. Set it back to 2. Hopefully I can get all that work done before it expires.

Does this mean it will only connect to upload every 2 days now too?

Nope, higher. If BOINC thinks it has limited connectivity, it will cache more work.

I know why they are lower, at least for me, stupid BOINC stops working THREE times yesterday, normally its been once every couple of days, but lately its been a sob to keep working. hehe

I realized something when it goes into screen saver mode it have problems i think.

i made it go to blank screen in the options after 5 min after in screensaver mode.

the first day didnt do that any my comp was acting weird had to restart.

i just hope someone make a gpu 8800 version of r@h than i can crunch out even more
