  A note from David Baker: We desperately need as much CPU power as possible for the next two weeks--there are more than 25 CASP targets due, including some that are our best shots at really high resolution models. Frustratingly, we won't be able to do anywhere near as much sampling as we had planned for these proteins as there are so many coming due near the same time, and thus can't really expect the accuracy we had hoped for. So if it is at all possible for you to increase your rosetta@home cpu time for the next two weeks please do--it will make a huge difference for our collective efforts!

I've done what I can. I'm running at warp factor 11, lol. I need to back down again, the heat is killing me and my wallet, my A/C just can hardly keep up with the heat we're having.

If any of you have noticed a reduction in daily points recently (I have but I figured it was just other projects hogging CPU time for a while ), you might want to take a look at the BOINC manager on your computers. I found several today that were sitting in permanent "Suspended" mode even though they were set to run based on preferences (run always). I forced an update on the clients and they all look like they are running normally again. For some reason, it appears that possibly for a short time, my Rosetta clients (could be another project that did it but none of the computers in question have the same secondary projects attached) received bad preferences info from the server or something since all of the computers with this problem reported that user preferences had changed when I forced the updates even though I didn't change them myself.

Fardringle, I had the same problem on 3 or 4 machines. I did a Project Reset and they seem to be working so far. Fingers crossed for they are going to be on their own for the next week.
