Did something happen at Rosetta today? Noticed quite a lot of team positional changes in the top 50 (looking at boincsynergy)...much more than I've noticed before at this level of competition, in the top 50 teams or so. Just curious.

EDIT: erk... boincstats, not boincsynergy....

Not that I can see, but sometimes, when you watch the stats right when they get updated, they look pretty weird and all these changes in ranks and stats indicated by the arrows are all messed up. But that's only a temprary thing.

I'm going to switch my main rig over to R@H to try it out. I was also considering switching over another but I'm not sure if it's worth it. It's a PIII 600. Right now it's running Folding@Home and turns out about one wu every 2 weeks or so. Whatcha think?

Bunker, I run Rosetta on a PIII 600 and it gives me some nice scores, just make sure you use an optimized client so you get that little bit of extra score. It takes between 2 and 3 hours for a WU and yields between 15 and 20 points.

The R@H team nuked some hosts/teams that were overclaiming on credits. Like this one here They were claiming in excess of 10x normal. All with a optimized client.

Personally, I can't wait until the new credit system goes into effect rendering the benchmarks moot.

Yes, the new credit system will bring at least some equality to crunching again, but I do hope that they make it better than the SETI folks, with 5 times longer WUs but half the credit.

Pay attention to 6/3/06 & 7/20/06.

What I don't understand is how people can think they will get away with bogus 5 digit benchmarks. Folks are just greedy I guess. <shrug>

Indeed, I mean, using an optimized client to gain like 10 extra points per WU is one thing, but that's just blatant cheating and exploiting. :|

AWESOME!!! GOOD JOB ROSETTA! This certainly explains what I saw..... I know it didn't affect you guys (TA), but I'm not in TA.....(greetings from your little sister team, Team-SciFi )

I think we moved up as a result....but at any rate, we are hanging in there, and we have massively answered the call for more CPU power, as much as we can for a small team.
