I bought this a while back and been using it for raid5 fileserver with 4x 500gig drives. Other then my faulty build the 1st time (not enough power) the raid5 has been working nice no data loss as of yet. Cant really comment on the speed but its good to store files. I got for $29.99 but i think i also had free shipping - still good deal
