I'm looking into purchasing a good PSU for cheap and I noticed the Rosewill 500w @ newegg. Does anyone reccomend this or should I stick with name brand power supplies?

Save your money and get a quality PSU. These are rebranded newegg PSU's. Not sure of their real quality.

Why in the world do you need 400-500Watts. What kind of system are you running?

I'm just thinking for the futures sake to get a 'good' one now so I won?t have to get one in the future. I'm currently using a 350 Antec. If I were to go A64 in the future I would need a new psu rite?

The Rosewill PSUs are mostly ATNG/Coolmax rebadges - decent mid-level units. Definitely look at the XClio 450 (made by Channel Well with nearly 10 years of SPS (switching power supply) experience) - IMO, it's the best value around right now. But if your mobo lacks the P4-12V (4-pin square) connector to power the CPU, then you may want to choose an older design that weighs the output more to the 5V rail.

I have the RP550, works great, rock solid for the past 3 months, comparable w/ my other Antec True500 (but a lot cheaper)
highly recommended

I have a Seasonic 460 and a powermeter.

Enough said, that thing pays for itself

(In case this is too obscure, the Seasonic parts are much more efficient. Mine takes 10% less power than even my Zalmann which isn't bad to start from. Since that computer is running permanently I save about 20 bucks a year and I expect at least 4 years out of it).

Plus it's very quiet, PCIe ready, 24 and 20 pin, blah blah blah. A PSU is the right place to throw some money on quality.

Another vote for Seasonic here. Very good build quality, quietness that absolutely can't be beat by any other current fan-cooled PSU, first to be certified 80%+ efficient and consequently runs cooler than most PSUs out there.

Can't go wrong with a Seasonic.
