Let's see:

$200
640x480 resolution
AOL-BRANDED CAMERA
They showed a photo of it, and it looks dintzy. Its LCD isn't full-color (limited to 64 colors)
Camera's entire front has AOL branded on it.
They don't include the USB cable.
They charge $300 (plus $20 shipping) unless you sign up for 1 extra year of AOL
The LCD is TINY (0.9&quot
The camera's color balance sucks (I've seen pictures from it that they posted)

Yet, a zillion AOL llamas will buy it, thinking it's some awesome deal... the humor is that it's funny how they're gonna get ripped off .

Also, the popup screen claimed the digital camera was "A REVOLUTIONARY NEW TECHNOLOGY CALLED DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY FROM THE AOL TEAM!", and their images had a ton of text claiming how it was a revolutionary, brand-new product type that they somehow invented just now, as if no other digital cameras ever existed.

I did see that the last time I signed on. And I did laugh, I usually click "no thanks" but for some reason i was looking at this and laughing. Then i noticed their stupid little triangle logo on the camera and laughed some more. I hate AOL. I can't believe i still have a stupid account with them. I never use the damn program and all my emails are infected with PORN, BANKS, HOW TO MAKE 1 million DOLLARS, DATING, LOOSING WEIGHT, ALL KINDS of other ADS, that are realllly annoying. I'm going to cancel it soon. Anyways, I did have a good laugh at that crap ass camera (kisses my Nikon 950)

I hate AOL... their ads are annoying on the TV, they claim they're "THE FASTEST ONLINE SERVICE!", and they are stupid in general... what's really funny is all those people who think it actually is that subscribe to it and don't even know what good web sites are... they think AOL's propietary, ripped-from-sites-and-paid-for content and their cruddy forum system and spammed-with-porn chatrooms are the best the 'Net can offer. They also are llama'd into thinking that AOL keeps introducing new features when they are actually merely introducing 2+ year old features such as basic HTML in emails (you can send HTML email to AOL members, but you can't send OR recieve HTML email), an address bar on the top of the window, etc. I hate AOL; it's fun to laugh at them .

I got in on the Consumerdepot.com deal that had $146 shipped for a Kodak DC200 Plus digital camera. It included the lense cap, AC adapter, and 4mb CF card, as well as a Kodak leather carrying case . I ordered that, and then from buy.com I bought a 24mb Kingston flashcard with PC card adapter ($37), CF USB reader ($20), and then I went to my local RadioShack and bought 8 AA Rechargable NIMH batteries ($15), and a 2 hour charger ($25).

$249 grand total, including shipping for all products. . THAT is a good deal, not the $200 + 20 shipping + TAX, 640x480, crappy color, AOL-Branded digital camera. As I said... I feel sorry for the people getting ripped off by AOL... it's almost kind of funny that they can get away with things like that ... it's almost like theft hehe.

640x480? Ugh. My g/f got an Agfa c18 POS that only had 2MB, but did include the USB cable for somewhat less than $100 after MIR. Quality blows, but she only needed it to take pix of stuff she's dealing on eBray.

This deal is suck.

My Mom unwittingly ordered that POS camera. She never even asked me or my brother first (like she knows she should when it comes to computer stuff). Well, when I visited my parents and saw that thing, my brother and I both laughed at her and told her to send that crap back and get a real digital cam. She did and the results are far better. That camera felt like it was going to break just from looking at it (no, I ain't that ugly!) and it needed a lot of light to take decent images. As mentioned before, the features just do not add up to its price tag. It just ain't worth buying at any price. I have seen better 1st generation digital cams.

I have AOL, but I access it through my cable modem (Cablevision's Optimum Online cablemodem service)... other people in my house aren't very computer-literate ... $10 extra a month isn't all that much for me; annoying, but it keeps them happy lol.
