I need to fix a rotted out external door threshold on concrete/brick and ran into this:
The builders built up a ~1" high concrete mound to put some split brick so the aluminum threshold would transition to brick to the ground. The mound goes all the way across the door. So there's a ~1" deep channel between the mound and the flat indoor foundation ( I don't know if it goes around the house ). It was filled with dirt/mud/insects when I took the old sill out. There doesn't seem to be any way for trapped water to escape. Can I fill it with concrete or expanding foam?
