its reasonably accurate being that it takes a lot of reviews and creates a grade from that. plus u can read the positive and negative reviews and make your mind up off that if u don't trust the number and really want to see something its not so hard. its a tool, a very good one. and it shows how powerful the net is, imagine before rottentomatoes, ur access to reviews just plain sucked and getting a real idea of whether a film is worth watching was a lot harder. i do disagree with some of the higher rated oscar bait films. like the boring and pretentious syriana and such.
