Good price, but these look like they are VERY poorly made from the close up pic. If i'm gonna pay a premium for rounded cables, i'd go for the professional ones i.e. twisting each ground with a live wire like they've been doing with SCSI forever.

I have these cables from bestbyte and they are very nice quality. It's a poor picture of them.

This is well made? To me it looks like they took a bunch of ATA100 cables, went to ace hardware and bought some rubber tubing, and then scrunched up the wires into it. I mean, I guess they're allright, but if I'm gonna pay extra for rounded cables, I expect to get something that I would have trouble doing myself. No wires cut, no "feet," just some plastic tubes . . .

I've ordered these rounded cables from them a couple weeks ago. I haven't tried them yet, but the picture of these cables is a really bad picture of them. They are stiff, but still bendable. Compared to other rounded cables these are a great deal. I wouldn't want to spend 20 dollars for one cable when I could buy 3 cables for a little less than 20. The more expensive ones probably look nicer but these do just as well if you're buying these to improve airflow. If you have a window in the side of the computer, these still don't look as bad as they do in that picture.

do it yourself. it is very easy. just break it into 5 pieces. i also ordered a ata100 and a floppy cable from them. they are no better than the one i made.

Just tape your IDE cable with duct tape then you have it.

i did the same thing with electrica tape. it worked just fine and it is in the case so looks really aren't that important.

ATA100 cables are very easy to split if you use this trick. Take the blade out of your utility knife or get a razor blade. Now, stick it in the "groove" between two wires, and PRESS DOWN, don't cut. You have a perfect starting point. Do this at every grove you want to cut. Then rip the cable pulling one end up and one end down. ATA100 cables are a BITCH to cut if you actuially have to cut them, but by using the "pressing down" method, your almost gaurenteed not to screw up.
