Router/Disconnecting issue

So, I just built my first PC last month and I've been having a problem with disconnecting when using a router.

At first I was using my old Netgear G54 router that had no issues with my old computer. With my new computer every once in a while I would lose my connection, and all I had to do to fix it was restart my computer.

After 2 weeks of that happening, I wasn't able to connect to the internet through that G54 router anymore.

So I went about 2 weeks without a router, and I had no problems with d/cing.

I just got a Linksys E3200, and the same thing started happening, d/c, reboot, internet works fine again.

Anyone have any ideas of whats causing this?

You PC will never know your home router is in the line. However if you do a lot of bittorenting/pirating it can overwhelm your home routers resources. Just like that sort of activity does to The Internet.

Restarting the router and/or computer releases all those resources.

I should add that I don't have a wireless card. My PC is hooked up through Cat6 to the router. Only other things that are connected to my router are my 360 through Cat6, and my iPhone through wireless, which is only on when I use it.
