Router to control internet traffic

We need a new router in the office (11 computers) to monitor the internet traffic, it seems as though one of the people/computers is eating up all the DSL bandwidth.

What is a good router at a good price point that shows which computer/IP address is using up the pipe?

You may not need a router as such, but a network management software application.

there are packages out there that can monitor traffic on all nodes, via IP or MAC address, so you can see which host is consuming a lot of bandwidth.

nope, never got around to setting one up.

Netflow is the only way to get truely accurate statistics with this fine of a grain. Some other stuff might give you approximate stuff, but it's very difficult to find this information with lower-end/consumer level gear.

Astaro should be able to do this. I just started using the free home virtual appliance and I love it. It takes a little while to get up and running but after that it kicks ass. I retired my old PIX 501 (which I loved) for it.

Tomato on a $30 Linksys will give you live graphs of each IP and bandwidth consumed overall or over particular policies, ports, etc. If that's not enough it also has syslog support which can do wonders with Kiwi or similar. If you're not on a consumer level router, then all SMB and higher should support syslog out of the box, which should be enough to tell you which user/computer you're looking for.
