I saw this a couple nights ago, and wow! I thought it was great, definetely a movie that I am going to have to buy.
Was I the only one who thought it was hillarious?

Hehehe I just got back from it too. Its pretty good, not great though. It was shot very well, there was like 2849892489 things in the background that gave little insights to each character because they hardly said anything. Gotta watch it again to see what I missed.

That was random.

Random is not an uncommon word. It is usually used to describe things "lacking a definite plan, purpose, or pattern" as quoted from Merriam Webster.
I don't see how such a thing would be exclusive to Orange Country.

Now, if he said it was "hella random" that would be more fitting for a Berkeley-ite, and if he was from Boston he could say the movie was "wicked bad". But random being OC exclusive? That's not something I'm aware of.

they say the word random in other parts of the world too. I've been living in OC long enough to know that random is not exclusive to the un-jaded.

I'm not saying that the word itself is exclusive to OC. It's just that lately people in OC have been using the word random the way he used it, not technically incorrect, but not in the normal sense either. I thought it was an OC thing because whenever someone says that to somebody not from OC they look at the person like their crazy,

Just saw it. Awesome movie. I must buy the DVD just so that I can look at all of the little things in the background that I missed. I loved the stuff on the walls of Owen Wilson's apartment. That one painting with the guys on the minibikes was hilarious! I also now have a new favourite catch phrase:

"Let's shag ass"

I saw it earlier this evening, and I have to go see it again. I loved it. I laughed so hard at times. Definitely the best movie I've seen in some time.

I want to go see it, but it became a choice between seeing that or seeing Lord of the Rings again. I'm going with Lord of the Ring. More bang for the buck.

Yeah, I saw this on a free sneak last night.....great movie....made me laugh in many places.....not quite as loud as "Meet the Parents", but Owen Wilson definitely has a very fine movie on his hands here.

Right now I'm looking forward to Brotherhood of the Wolf hitting general release in the states (I can overlook having a Mohawk Indian do movies with a staff that are more appropriate to a Shao-lin stylist), but from what I have been hearing this movie Showcases Marc D.'s talents better than any other one so far.


Overall I would have to say, though that I get the shivers every time I watch the spider-man trailer (being both a spider-man fan and an arachnologist for years).

Really liked Royal.

Thought it was a bit RANDOM also, though.

I actually like Rushmore (looking at movie poster in my room) a bit more. More developed characters, and typically awesome Anderson lines.
