@ Smoke

The first of my retirees has retired. It is now a plain vanilla Win XP surfing computer, ready to be sold.
Since I am in Sweden, I'll not open an FS/FT at the Anandtech forums as yet - I'll give the locals a chance to buy i fine machine - which has worked 24/7 since 1999 and still has a quiet rest period surfing the 'net ahead of it ...

Hmmm, what to do, what to do. On one hand, as a DC forum member, I should officially ignore this thread.

But as a DC Forum Moderator, I cannot officially ignore this thread. I'm not sure I can unofficially ignore this thread either. :Q

I guess I'll officially ignore this thread as a DC Forum participant , and keep my eye on it as a moderator, just to make sure things don't get out of hand. I have to keep in practice with the cane, you know.

Doctor prescribed no carbonated beverages and no caffeine. Today is my first day, and it sucks. I can still have my wine and limoncello though, so I'll be okay.

Peter, how much are you asking for your extra rig?
I've got a collegue in Uppsala that I might buy it for (unless he has somehow managed to get his borked laptop back up and running).

I think this is...

To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting. ~e.e. cummings, 1955

rabrittain pointed out that the half-man raising up to allow the magician to pass his hand underneath was, in reality, a half-man (paraplegic.)

A long time ago, I had a good friend of many years that was a paraplegic (from a motercycle accident). He had his whole body intact, but was paralyzed from the upper chest down. I didn't know that there were amputees also.

Are you kidding? Do you have any idea how much time I spend on programming my G15 keyboard to handle the stats of manually counting posts in threads? I sure as hell kept that, and I put it to use any time I can.

I can't drink caffeine or carbonated beverages, so I have little else to drink.

I didn't even know the G15 could to such things!

Well, I do the stats in Excel. Once an initial list has been generated, I program hotkeys for adding posts to a person's count, then there are keys programmed for doing the spacing for lining them up later. Everything is programmed by hand, and it takes some tweaking, but it comes out wonderfully.
