Just great. A more comprehensive report - and some pics - later ... came home just 2 hour ago, and it is now 1:50 am ...

I remember one time, I left for work over the weekend and left my machine running (not DC at the time), and when I got back, my motherboard had fried itself, the fan had died, and the HD felt like it wanted to melt. Thankfully after further inspection the HD was fine, but everything else mostly needed to be replaced. Oh well, the mobo was free as it was. Actually, I think that the CPU was alright too.

I am retiring five of my slowest - replacing them with one C2D ... in a week or so. The temperatures are way too high - som 28 - 29ºC in the shade in northern Sweden ...

I always wanted to do that ...

Same here. I'll build a Quad Core in September and retire my PIII600, XP2000+ and sell my XP3200+. Best part is: LESS HEAT!!!
