Back when I had a bunch of 5870s and 5970s, you could literally peel the Asus sticker off one of their cards and the AMD sticker would still be underneath.

Edit: Actually, I think it was an ATI sticker back then.

My 5870 says ATI, so you probably remember correctly.

From what I see on the internet that's several hundred points lower than a 980ti or titan x. Not much above a plain 980.

Does AMD normally suck at that benchmark?

He is running 8x AA, I'm trying to find results to compare but haven't found any yet. AMD cards GCN 1.1 and prior suffered from higher levels of tessellation, but GCN 1.2 improved a lot in this area so I'm interested to see how well it caries over to Fury.

Already proven fake.....

MSI claims HDMI 2.0 support in their spec sheet for the 380, 390, and 390x and PowerColor confirmed HDMI 2.0 and HCP2.2 for Fury in an e-mail...

Though, apparently, the comment was simply:

"Hi,
It will support.

Regards,

Powercolor Customer Service
North American Division,
Tul, Inc.
1216 John Reed Court, City of Industry,
CA, 91745, United States"

Not exactly detailed...

BUT, the official AMD comment from amdmatt:

"The AMD Radeon™ Fury X is an enthusiast graphics card designed to provide multi-display 4K gaming at 60Hz.
In addition, Active DisplayPort 1.2a-to-HDMI 2.0 adapters are set to debut this summer. These adapters will enable any graphics cards with DP1.2a outputs to deliver 4K@60Hz gaming on UHD televisions that support HDMI 2.0."

Is anything but clear (I got onto him about that, but no reply). In fact, he's pretty much stopped talking.:\

EDIT:

Okay, so I found the unedited version of the PowerColor image - where it doesn't show HDMI 2.0. The email could easily be faked.

A simple, direct, statement of fact from AMD would so easily clear this up...

Hopefully that is long enough to reach where the top 120 mm fan is on my case. That's where I would be mounting the AIO. Can't find space anywhere else.

Should be fine as same length as evga hybrid cooler which has tubes coming from side of the card (making the Fury x a little better for front rad placement). I have my rad set at the bottom of 900d case and rad tubes are on bottom of the case to try trap any air in top of rad.

You do realize that 2560x1600 @60Hz is within about 1% to 1920x1080 @120Hz.

It is Dual Link DVI

At least DVI users (1440p@60hz, maybe 1600p@60hz) have a cheaper active adapter solution with monoprice one: http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_...ium=11051853&utm_term=VigLink-2470763#reviews. From new review: "No issues at 60hz at 1440p", but as expected no oc'ing of refresh for 1440p "could only oc to 65hz without artifacts". I have the powered active DP-DVI-D adapter (Accell version) and was able to use 1080p@120hz so maybe monoprice one can as well.

They talk about average framerates in the Anandtech Ti review, so that's what is shown.

I don't believe he has it. Why would he? Is he a known reviewer, in which case, isn't he breaking NDA?

I actually have a 3870 that says the same. But its on the cooler. The cooler is probably sold to partners by AMD and sourced by AMD, but I would think the partners usually make the PCBs reference or not. It's highly unlikely AMD has the cards made and just sends it to partners to put a sticker on.

That's without any voltage boost from what I gather as there are no programs yet to do that.

It's still highly unfortunate. Even with voltage, Hawaii could barely eek out much more than stock voltage OC's without a massive increase in power. Maxwell, on the other hand, doesn't need a voltage adjustment to get 25% or more overclocks.

What does Hawaii have to do with Fiji? What does Maxwell have to do with Fiji?

Fiji benches based on 4770K stock CPU and the Anandtech 980Ti benches was tested on overclocked Core i7-4960X @ 4.2GHz.

Hawaii and Fiji are the same basic architecture. Maxwell is the competition to Fiji. Easy stuff!

Hawaii/Grenada GCN 1.1 290/390 and 290/390X
Tonga/Antigua GCN 1.2 285 and 380
Fiji GCN 1.2 Fury

Most advanced are Tonga/Antigua and Fury.

Right, but just like GM107 is Maxwell 1, GM200 is Maxwell 2 and both overclock very similar (aka really good) despite having the same architecture but with tweaks.

EDIT: Tonga isn't exactly known for it's overclocking prowess, so putting Fiji and Tonga in the same category doesn't bode well. If Fury X OC'd can't keep up with 980 TI OC'd, then Nvidia wins. Same / similar price, 50% more vram, probably better perf/w. Anyways, we'll all know tomorrow. Reading around the web, people are saying Fiji voltage is locked down at least for reviews, which is weird.
