Looks like dumbya's rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic again... I really hope this gets onto youtube soon. I gotta see dumbya and dumbsfeld stammering and trying to explain how "He'll be in office until 2008", actually meant November 8th. Do you think this is being done now to take some of the blinding white glare of the losses the gop had?

Dem's took one of the last two undecided Senate seats. 50-49 in favor of Dem's. If they get that last one,.

Rumsfeld is to smart politically to even think about resigning before the election. Maybe him and Bush have talked about it, but doubt that.
After the election then who knows what will happen. Dems win big then Rummy is gone, if not then maybe he goes, maybe he stays.

If the Democrats win the Senate and 30+ seats in the house then Rumsfeld is almost certainly gone.
Therefore, who should replace him?
It would have to be someone with a strong military background and someone seen as an uniter.

Stewart and Colbert are going to have a FIELD DAY with this
Well, of course not. Yesterday will end up being just as much a defeat for the bloggers as it was Bush. Bush's own party will turn against him, Iraq will end, and the bloggers will end up being rebels without a cause.Originally posted by: TravisT
I find it funny, most here wanted Rums head merely double digit hours ago, and now that he resigns you're still not happy.
why does it have to come down to MY state, damnit!?... uhg.Originally posted by: cumhail

Yes, Montana's been called for Tester. Only Virginia left.

One lie down. Everything else he's said since he took office to go.Originally posted by: cumhail
Dear God, he just admitted to lying to journalists about Rumsfeld staying on just to "get you to the next question."

Just say part of it on the TV in teh cafeteria, apparently he said that he HAD to say that so the reporter would move on to the next question, he didn't want to influence the election so close to the end.
That's his story and he's sticking to it, he just got caught in a lie and admitted it.

You mean you needed some time to wipe that egg off your face, right? :laugh:Originally posted by: ProfJohn
