Wear what feels comfortable for ya. I have a pair of Ray-Bans but they have prescription lenses in them. (I don't wear contacts) The runners I know wear everything from RB to Oakleys to (you name it).

I'm partial to a visor instead of sunglasses. Yes, obviously a visor doesn't block all the glare/suns rays or protect your eyes, but as early as I run in the summer/heat, you can't really wear sunglasses out at 5:30AM before the sun comes up.

I have a small face so I wear Smith Red Line Max shades. Before that I had Smith Voodoo Sliders. They are nice and lightweight, have that rubber that gets sticky when it gets wet, and have polarized, interchangeable lenses. They are very comfortable and I tend to forget that I am even wearing them.

Just a cheapish pair (~$35 iirc) from mec. The only real problem I've ever had with them is that they sometimes fog up under extreme conditions (heavy rain and wind at near freezing temperatures, and the odd time in really cold weather with the wind at my back). More expensive glasses probably have much better optics, but I'd rather have something I'm not worried about dropping.

Native Eyewear (throttle w/ polarized lens) that I got on clearance at REI. Same glasses I use for driving, hiking, and snow shoeing.

I am very particular about my sun glasses. Most of the 'stylish' designer sun glasses fail my tests. The lenses cannot touch my face, often requiring them to be small and angular. They need to be light weight. The nose piece needs to be soft, and usually a separate piece from the lens frame to satisfy the first requirement. The arms need to be slender and not interfere with headphones or hat. The manufacturer logo must also be small and barely noticeable.

The sunglasses I see on sale have large lens, have extremely large/thick/wide arms, and extremely ostentatious designer logos.

As a result, when I find a pair I like, I tend to hold onto them for as long as possible. My current frames are more than a year old, were 20 dollars, and have been through multiple Krazy Glue repairs.

Native's rock. I wear the Silencer's for just about all my sport related activities... running, cycling, mountaineering and even skydiving occasionally. They're bulletproof and Native has a great replacement program in the event they get run over by a tank.

I didn't buy them for running, but I have a pair of Nike Carbon sunglasses that I'll use for any outdoor activity...golf, skiing, boating...and the occasional run, whenever crossfit calls for it.

I hate wearing sunglasses when running. I'm looking down most of the time anyways.

Apparently I have a big head. I got them today, and it seems like they might have been designed for a smaller head haha.

I like them though, the second set of lenses is perfect (one for lower light other is darker for brighter conditions), soft case and hard case. Only "negatives" on first impression of the Silencers are the plastic lenses (although this can be a pro too) and smallish for my head (although might be fine but won't know until after wearing them for a few hours).

I have a pair of Oakleys. I think it the older Square Wire? And I have the orange lenses in them. I love them and will hold on to them as long as I can. I'm very picky about sunglasses.

Edit: I appear to be one of the lucky owners of the famous square wire 2.0s with fire iridium lenses. I think they sell for more on ebay than I bought them for.
