heck do shuttle boards support multiplier adjustment?
Yes they do. I have the same board as alfhead and was thinking about upgrading to the XP1600 cause of all the overclock gossip lately on this chip. For the hell of it,I raise my FSB to 166 on my current Duron and ran it for a bit but decided I better back off before I regret it.
So from what I gather, you have to have a certain divider in your MB to continue to run your hardware at spec and I guess the AK31a doesn't have it.
So if I want to overclock it,I guess I'll just have to do the multiplier thing and maybe just up the FSB a tad.
Edit: Ever since I ran my FSB at 166,my computer randomly reboots while using at any given time be it 2 hours or even 5 hours after initial boot up.....Is that a sign of corruption or something worth ?
