Running 1GB of Corsair TwinX 3200LL on Intel D875PBZ why cant I run at 400 MHz?

It defaults to 333MHz on the RAM, when I set it to 400MHz I get a memory boot error, do I have my timings wrong or something? They are set a 2-2-2-5 atm please offer any advice or help!

change your timings to 2,3,3,7

Didn't work, system wont boot if I change the bus to 400MHz from 333, and its TwinX so I should be able to run at 2-2-2-6

I got the Latest P05 Bios from Intel for the D875PBZ but my TwinX still wont work at 400

I dont think Intel has fixed the problem with the TwinX yet with their BIOS updates

Have you tried upping the voltage? try Cas 2.5 3,3,7 for now and keep upping the voltage until it boots...Hopefully

Ok I set it to 2.5 3 3 7 and its working at 400 now, but why cant I use the 2-2-2-6 timings that the TwinX LL is rated for?

Check over @ corsair's forums. Apparently the RAM timings are just too aggressive to be stable on some dual channel boards.

You won't notice a real world difference in the CAS settings anyways on a P4 mobo. Bandwidth before latency is the general rule of thumb.

I've been stating on here since I set up my Canterwood system on the 15th of April that the Corsair LL ram will not work at default latencies.

The OCZ EL ram works at 2,6,3,2 timing where the Corsair will not.

It's the same with the Abit IC7-G. I think it is just Corsair RAM showing true colors. Hoes anyone have problems with Mushkin or OCZ?

So you think Corsair RAM blows and its not the mobo? I think its the mobo personally and they will release a bios update to correct the problem hopefully

The Corsair memory can not handle its SPD timings because Canterwood has hidden timings that are part of PAT.

Canterwood has hidden timings because of PAT? Can you explain what that means please? Also is this pat timing thing fixable by Intel so people can use the SPD timings on TwinX?
