I need to run a VGA cable from the back of the computer in my office to the Pioneer Plasma in the living room. There are already some cable run holes, and I think I could get away with 10 or perhaps 12 metres.
Will the signal be ok with this length? It's going from the secondary DVI head of my ATI X1950XTX to my Pioneer PDP 436 XDE.
The Pioneer has a dedicated VGA PC input, and the picture looks great on the Plasma (using a DVI converter at the PC end and a thick (good quality) but only 3m VGA cable that I have.) If I get a good quality cable made up for this run, will it be as good as the 3m one? (3m cable used while PC was by the Pioneer, obv.)
I don't really want to start playing around with the non PC HDMI inputs on the Pioneer as although it's technically possible (lots of Pioneer message forums out there) the signal looks quite good enough for me.
Any thoughts gents?
