running Defrag while running antivirus scan...is it OK?

is it ok to run a defrag while running a program like an antivirus scan at the same time? and why?

i don't think it's a good idea

No, because the defrag program will be locking and moving files around and the antivirus may not be able to scan it. Speed will severely decrease as well.

It is always best to run either Antivirus or a Defrag with nothing else
running except what your computer boots up with ... and of course,
if you think you have any viruses, you should run AV in Safe Mode
so it can get rid of them

No. One or the other.

I always just set a defrag going when I go to bed. That way in the morning it's done. Same thing with a virus scan.
