I need to start working out more so I think I better get a decent pair of running shoes. No, I'm not overweight, so let's not turn this into something like that.

Can someone recommend something decent but not over $65?

Running shoes for ~$65? New Balance or Asics would be my first choice of running shoes in that price range. Assuming that you have a "normal" sized foot, you should be able to find both brands for around $70 or so

Size 11.

The only reason I'm not trying to spend a whole lot is I'm afraid I might dump a bunch of money on a pair and then never have time to actually use them or just get sick of running. So I figured I may as well get something cheaper to start with.

Just whatever you do, Xyl3ne, go to a running shop to purchase the shoes. If you don't go to a running store, at least take a friend that knows a little bit about running shoes.

Unfortunatly the only options I seem to have are Foot Action and Champs (which are the same store anyway) and I don't know anyone who runs, that's why I came here for help

If your planning on doing 15+ miles a week I would spend the money and upgrade to a MSRP of $100 - $150 for running shoes.

Do you know what kind of runner you are? You may need a more stability oriented shoe based on your running style. Running shoe stores can look at the wear on your last pair of running shoes to help you into a more comfotable pair of shoes that will help you correct your style and "enjoy" running more.

Since you are on a budget, I would recommend you a Saucony Grid shoe from Big 5 sporting goods, they often have $100+ Grid's on sale for $50 or so.

$65 shoes just don't give you enough support or cushioing. I would also steer you to NEw Balance Saucony, Asics, and Mizuno over Reebok, Nike, & Adidias. Nike would be my last pick for the serious runner unless you shop their Bowerman line of shoes like the Max Moto.

Give EASTBAY Clearance section a try

Probably only 5 miles a week, a mile a night. I really don't have time (or energy. I walk around for 8 hours a day almost non-stop at work) for any more than that. As for what type of runner I am, no flipping idea.
