I agree - A bit busy of an image. I would try converting it to B&W -- I often do this when my images are too busy, and sometimes I get good results.

Also, I would try for a non-conventional angle - the stream (more of a brook, really) looks too small and overgrown to offer up the 3/4 isometric view we often see - maybe a shot closer or at strange angle?

Still, lucky you - I have no streams nearby

Nice sharp shot... I'm with the others on the busy aspect of the shot... Oh, and "Rushing Stream" title doesn't quite work for me when it's a longer exposure, smoothing out the water. To me, it's now a meandering stream.. Now a fast shutter speed to give the water more detail and energy, then I'm with ya on rushing.....

Side shots of streams are tough... The lower you can get to the water seems to help. Low angle of view with the water cutting through the shot at an angle helps keeps your eyes on the water flowing through the scene, rather than the picking up the details in the grass along side, etc... Just some thoughts...

To improve, or at least change the existing image, a slight crop and some creative vignetting to defocus the grass, and keep the water sharp and well lit might help...
