You and I don't converse much, so I can't speculate on your feeling on this matter, but I ask you to take the weekend to get away from here and reconsider your decision.

This is one thing i don't like seeing. I know we all have seen many arguments and all sorts of stuff in here, but we are still a team! We need to maintain our strong membership structure as best we can. I love seeing new members, and i hate seeing ANY members leave. I don't care if it is a seasoned member, or a new member. I'd like to keep em all .

DanC, I do hope you give this another chance. I think most of us want this team to work. I know i do at least. I'm not as active in here as i have been before, but I'm still here, baby, yeah! Seriously though, DanC, especially with you having that borg blood, I know you like to assimilate! I know you would like to get as much computing power as possible, and thats the idea! I would hate to see a member like you leave, man.

DanC, calm down. As with what Jay's said, we've all been flamed, we've all had fights, and we've all been involved with some trouble one way or another. Just because everyone doesn't approve of some of your ideas doesn't mean that they think any less of you, your ideas, or anything else for that matter. What matters is that you try your hardest to help the team, and spread a little bit of happiness here and there. Take a break, give Russ a wedgie, and relax this weekend, Monday is a whole new week.

Let me start by saying that I truly enjoyed the hour we spent talking to each other the other day via telephone.

Dan, my friend, if it was easy someone would have already made the improvement that you seek.
If you want it to happen, you have to believe that it can be done, and don't give up.
There has been opposition to your ideas - I'm sure there is a little right and wrong on both sides of the discussion.

Do you have the courage to stand for what you believe in? You are intelligent, you knew going in that change is not welcomed by all within Team Anandtech.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. What's it going to be?

Leave a legacy of being someone who gave up, or someone who made a difference?

You should not leave with the idea that nobody gave you support - I support you and I know probably a lot of other voices that have not been heard from support you also.

This will be my only post in this thread because, frankly, I'm getting a little tired of fighting the battle myself.

After all the times certain members of this forum have come to the defense of the DPCs when they have attacked Dan, instead of standing beside their own team member, I wouldn't blame him a bit if he removed the client from every system in his control, and cancelled every plan he has for future assimilations.

And the folks in the above group are all wondering the same thing:

WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON?!? Are we naive? Did the three of us miss a thread or poll or something? Was something posted on another site? :Q

I for one ONLY(99.9999%) read and post in the Anandtech forums.. I don't go to the forums on any other site(except for .0001%) simply because there hasn't been a need for me to do so - everything I like/want/need/enjoy is right here at Anandtech.

So if there's something going on that's going to impact the "TA family", let's hear about it! If there's changes or suggestions/ideas to be aired then let's find out about it! So far, it appears that at least 3 of us in the dark and I suspect there are a good number more.

I hope you don't leave. But, Our hands are tied when it comes to these things. It is their contest. And we have to follow behind them. I don't agree with what they say sometimes. But what can I do? Nothing. What can any of us do? Nothing.
I don't know what DPC did to you... Maybe that is why you are leaving. I don't know. As NWM said. WE don't know.
