We have no allies near the Caspian Sea. That's a real tough nut to crack, even if we wanted to. And I doubt anyone has or will give the greenlight to sink those ships. There simply isn't an interest in going that far to secure victory.
It is frustrating watching Iran deliver weapons to Russian designed to murder civilians, and then watch Russia use them for just that.

Maybe Israel can do another round of strikes on the factories:

If we go down this road you can find people from any country that make you wonder. The people have just been thoroughly manipulated and gaslit overall.
This is true. But do read the reports from places where regular Russian folk fled to to escape draft/conscription from the motherland.
Its not the same. Yea. Sure. Deprogramming is necessary to the same extent you'd expect to handle a free North Korea.

They *ARE* the Master Race.
Good luck deprogramming that.

Yes I get it, percentages.
It's just not the same.

Bend over and relax Putler. Haha.

The Stans leaving their table to go sit with China. That pipeline deal change happening right after Russia wasn't invited to that summit, on top of continually eating shit in Ukraine both with physical losses and state propaganda, like Kinzhals getting shot down. Discontent in Russia at nonstop losing and isolation is riding quite high apparently.

Sounds like a great backdrop for a crushing military defeat to me.

Another ballistic and cruise missile attack on Kyiv

China before Ukraine war: Our SRBMs will bring Taiwan to its knees easily. There is no defense.

China now: Fuck. Fuck Fuck Fuck.

Russian military is so far totally unparalleled at providing new material for the sales departments at US defense contractors.

If the US loaned Ukraine some more Patriot launchers (of which we have many stored) and some of the new IFCN relays they could dramatically improve AD coverage with a minimum of extra gear...

Though with Storm Shadow Ukraine managed to land painful punches as well.

Ukraine needs more long range fires.
To be honest they should just hit Moscow a few times; if this bullshit continues. Mind you they don't want to hit civilian targets; but the kremlin - a nice 2000 lb of explosive in the kremlin would do wonders.

[You want to avoid Civilian targets; if for no other reason then to avoid motivating the Russian common folk in this war.]

Wonder if this changes the calculus of all the doom n gloom we've heard over the years about china's "carrier killer" SRBMs that were going to render wide swaths of the pacific inaccessable to carrier strike groups. Does aegis have a similar capability as patriot?

Aegis is a weapons/radar control suite that integrates everything; Patriot is a weapon that would be controlled by Aegis.

We have the ability to take down SRBMs, yes, but hypersonic glide vehicles like the DF series China has, that remains to be seen. I imagine it will be harder.

I totally don't understand the Russian propaganda about NATO invading Russia.
Firstly the last thing the West wants is to occupy Russia. We haven't got the manpower and it would be way too expensive!
Secondly if somehow the West did occupy Russia, most Russian citizens would be way better off than they are now!

Not sure if the story about Lukashenko is true or not, but as a reminder:

Gerald Ford supercarrier can't get to a landlocked sea? Damn, time to fund an upgrade...

how exactly does a jet bolter(miss the cables) and continue flying foward without getting sucked into the giant fan pulling everything down? i demand a congressional oversight investigation in to this deranged contractor.

trapeze recovery is clearly the way to go.

Performance of Chinese missiles is a massive question mark in the first place. They have a lot of claimed capabilities, few proven ones.

What they likely are able to do is saturate a carrier groups defences via sheer numbers and get some through that way, mostly of the cruise missile or shorter air launched anti ship missile variety.

The ability of DF21 to hit a moving carrier group without a nuclear warhead is a big question mark.

Would likely provoke a nuclear response. Not a great idea and not necessary, Russia is going to lose without that specific building being temporarily damaged.
