For real this time lol. We're going to see losses of western MBTs since Ukraine is now using them.
Haven't seen any 2A6s, Challenger 2s, Bradleys, or Marders in use yet.
Looks like artillery and probably mines were involved. Sadly against these threats you can field the most heavily armored tanks in the world at this moment and be just as vulnerable as in these Leo 2 A4s which are basically early 80s tech.
Good find.First documented loss of a Ukrainian Leopard.
Found an interesting video that shows the protection available to the crew;It doesn't look bad. All the smoke looks like ammo compartment back of the turret. Remember, western design, ammo can blow / burn down and the crew and rest of tank is fine. Not seeing any hull burn down. There is a chance that tank drove away from that.
nyet komrade, these are finest chinesium self leveling tires. makes road feels smoother.
Sounds like something from the Grapes of Wrath.
Fucking orcs. I can only hope the Ukrainians had more warning and were better prepared than when Stalin did the same to slow down the Nazis. The idea that the Ukrainians did it is completely absurd. There are numerous ways to stop irrigation to Crimea without endangering the lives of tens of thousands of your own civilians. A dam failure of some kind right before Ukraine is supposed to start advancing sounds too convenient. Putin needs mud and barriers between his sorry drunk fucks and the Western armor inbound, and if Ukrainian families have to drown so be it.
On the Leo 2 only the ammo in the turret is protected this way. The ammo stowed in the hull near the driver is unprotected and if hit can send the turret flying just like in the T-series unfortunately (unless you use modern insensitive munitions like DM63 apfsds https://ndiastorage.blob.core.usgovcloudapi.net/ndia/2007/im_em/ABriefs/8Vogelsanger.pdf).Found an interesting video that shows the protection available to the crew;
You mean since Russia started arming groups in Ukraine and invaded them? Wow its really weird that a country that had been suffering an ongoing attack from it's neighbor would like prepare for war or something.You're joking right? Ukraine has been preparing for war with Russia for 8 years now.
Haha that really is next level bullshit. ‘Ever since Russia invaded them Ukraine has been preparing for war’.You mean since Russia started arming groups in Ukraine and invaded them? Wow its really weird that a country that had been suffering an ongoing attack from it's neighbor would like prepare for war or something.
I have to say this is one of the dumbest "points" you've attempted to make and that's saying something.
Ukraine is just engaging in peacekeeping operations to protect the citizens of the Belgorod People’s Republic from Russian attacks on them.You're joking right? Ukraine has been preparing for war with Russia for 8 years now. Not only have they been preparing for 8 years now, they even signed a sham peace agreement with Russia back in 2015, trying to dupe them into thinking they wanted peace when in reality they wanted this war all along. Germany, Ukraine, the US and France have all confirmed this and even bragged about it. Signing a peace agreement with a nuclear armed neighbor, then trying to dupe them is a REALLY REALLY stupid idea.
Ukraine wanted this war all along, and guess what they got one and are getting slaughtered.
Here is a lecture by John Mearsheimer on the conflict back in 2015 which explains the entire history. BTW, the video has 30 million views. Enjoy:
BTW regarding the dam, it was reported back in Dec that Ukraine had already struck the dam with Himars to see if it could slow down Russian supply lines. Not only that, but the dam issue hurts Russia more than Ukraine. And let’s not pretend like Ukraine doesn't like about stuff. Remember when they launched S300 missile that landed in Poland and blamed Russia? They still haven't apologized about it.
