If there was a completely guaranteed conventional war between Russia and NATO, NATO would shit on Russia and make Russia wipe.

How did this ‘conventional’ war work out for NATO? Try winning a war first against goat herders before talking tough, champ.

Refresh my memory . . . how did the Russian army do in Afghanistan?

The Soviets(one country) lost a 10 year war against the Afgans...

Refresh my memory, how many countries are in NATO? 30+ and still couldn't defeat an army using Soviet era weapons?

Secondly, I am not the one boasting about how great the Russian military is. They have their faults like every other military. Though I hear many in this thread boasting about how strong NATO is. A coalition of 30+ countries with F35's, AC130's, throwing every 'modern' weaponry they got and still got chased out after 20 years....

Like I said, there is a reason Biden repeatedly says 'We don't want war with Russia'. He don't want the smoke with Putin.

Things that make you go hmmm....

Yo, why is Russia still in Ukraine? Like, they haven't even hit the counterinsurgency phase. The Ukrainian state is still in control, its military is still capable of large-scale operations and even its air force flies sorties. The US and soviets ran into the same issue standing armies have against insurgencies for centuries, but Russia hasn't even got this far.

Again, the US estimated Ukraine would only hold out for 72 hours. Here we are, over a year later, and Russia's pushing T-54s to the front. Do you think Putin knows Shoigu is incompetent?

Maybe because unlike Russia, they actually don't carpet bomb civilians?

This is a message board. If you want it moderated differently talk to the moderators, not the members.

this is one of those "you're not wrong, but also you're wrong" moments.

History does this.

Congratulations, and it isn't your fault; but someone has to be posting like you do.

My understanding is that the Poles want nothing to do with Kaliningrad as it is "a dump" and filled with Russians who they do not want anything to do with. Maybe if they made them all return to territorial Russia as a result of such an attempt.

No one wants it aside from Russia, but an attempt to take some of Poland (or Lithuania) to link it back up would kind of force the issue.

Y’all shouldn’t even entertain the idea that NATO lost in Afghanistan. The Taliban was defeated militarily in weeks. Even tho dumb fuckface is pretty dumb he’s not so dumb as to genuinely think NATO lost in Afghanistan.

The west failed to build a viable government in Afghanistan, that’s all.

Dumb fuckface is also not so dumb as to think that a Russian army that at best is struggling in Ukraine is actually some kind of match for NATO.

He’s just trolling, and pretty poorly at that since it’s just the same nonsense again and again.

They won the military war. They lost the 'hearts and minds' war.

Don't try to reframe the Afghan war as something that is directly comparable to the Ukrainian war. This is straight out a conventional war where noone has to win the hearts and minds of the Ukrainians. But it sure sounds like that Putin has lost the hearts and minds of good chunk of his administration.

Putin is terrified of NATO. And he’s demonstrated they can’t stand up to decades old weaponry. Not a chance in hell they want to face up to date technology head on and full force. Zero
I dont think P is worried about the prospect of a conventional war with Nato. He is well aware that could devolve into a nuke conflict, which he knows Nato would not risk. Sure he would be wiped out pretty quick either way, but he is well aware Nato cares more about its civilians than Russia cares about theirs and that gives him a certain amount of leverage.

The U.S. military kicked their fucking asses. Meanwhile, Russia's adventure into Afghanistan resulted in them havinge their own asses served to them on a plate and they ate it.

And yet still, if there was a completely guaranteed conventional war between Russia and NATO, NATO would shit on Russia and make Russia wipe. In addition, America would make Russia pay for the toilet paper.

Russia is understandably terrified by this, which is why they are threatening nuclear retaliation. That isn't something you do if you are confident in your conventional victory. Unless you are stupid. Maybe that's your point: Russia is stupid. I'm with you on that. Champ.

Ukraine continues to exterminate Russian indirect fire assets wherever they can find them. At the same time Russian complaints of no fire support and inadequate counter battery capability are multiplying.

GMLRS/Excalibur plus recon drones and counter battery radar basically standing in for a job that is usually assigned to air power, which is lacking.

another lame comment by the Russians given they have already used cluster bombs in Ukraine:

Guess it is another indication he has alzheimer.

He's just taking advantage of the fact that many western news outlets have mostly failed to contextualize the supply of US DPICMs against Russia's ongoing indiscriminate attacks on civilians using cluster munitions.

Yes Russia is terrified of NATO. That’s why Biden refuses to send planes and long range missiles to Ukraine because Biden is scared Ukraine will strike deep in Russian territory.

Not to mention, Biden repeatedly stating NATO doesn’t want war with Russia over and over again.

I think you have it backwards.

BTW, there is no need for Biden to continue making these weak statements. Better to just keep quiet about trying to avoid a war with Russia and let the Ukrainians do the dirty work for you.
