Basically I view this as an argument that only the US (besides maybe Korea) really has sufficient missile production to keep up with Ukrainian needs and that the SLAM-ER should be adapted to Ukraine's aircraft sooner rather than later. It's cheap(er), can be made in sufficient numbers, and does not infringe on any stocks the US considers vital to our own security interests. Large quantities of SDB and JDAM-ER should also be supplied which when the GLSDBs arrive will give the AFU considerable firepower at depth.
The amount of materiel consumption in modern war is absolutely staggering. To think that all those resources could be used in bettering civilization instead... 😢
